**Social Gelo with Angelo** is a concept I developed after moving to Japan and becoming a permanent resident as a Puerto Rican American expat. I’ve been living here since 2013, and one day, while listening to a podcast, it hit me—I should share my experiences with others. Not only that, but I bet other people also have some fascinating stories to tell. So, I created this podcast to share ideas and stories from martial artists and individuals from various backgrounds, all framed within a psychological context.

In 2018, I updated my mission statement and began focusing on connecting with martial artists from around the world. I take great pride in being part of the martial arts community. From Kajukenbo (Hawaiian Kenpo) to MMA, I've thoroughly enjoyed training with martial artists of various styles while traveling. My website server (shout out to Squarespace) provided me with numerous features, allowing me to create a few blogs. One of them is "Martial Arts and Life in Japan," which is my personal blog where I share stories from my experiences living in Japan. Additionally, the "Social Research and Articles" section explores various social issues from a social psychology perspective.
